Happy Friday! Today is trash day in a lot of neighborhoods so we thought we’d show you how one lucky town has its trash picked up on a weekly basis. Wouldn’t it be nice if the trucks in most waste management company’s fleets looked like this!
This 4700 setback axle is powered by a 330 HP Cummins ISL with an Allison 3000 RDS slush box embedded in a double channel rail frame. It’s all resting on a 14,000 DDC front axle and Meritor 44,000 twin screws with a Tuftrac rear suspension to handle the terrain of the landfill. The body consists of a 25 yard “New way Cobra” container with dual “Bayne” tippers for easy loading.
We think “Alley Cat” is a great name for a garbage company. We just can’t call this a garbage truck!
Thanks to Ken Siegman from Wick’s Western Star in Omaha, Nebraska for sharing this WST “Waste Warrior”.
