Good morning Star Nation! Hope everyone had a great week. We’re ending ours with a pretty cool Star of the Week out of Canada.
This 4900 FA actually started out as a glider. It was built in Portland, OR with 12,000 lb front axles, a 5/16 single frame, a 1350 copper /brass radiator ,dual 100 gallon fuel tanks, 46,000 Airliner rr suspension , and a smokin factory paint job. Then the chassis was added with a 550 HP Cat engine and a set of 46K Meritor twin screws under the back . Finally, they added a “Herd” Elk scrapper on the front for those special road hazards and some shiny new exhaust stacks. This steam roller tames the northern roads in British Columbia hauling logs, chips, and loaders with happy drivers behind the wheel when she rolls.
