If you’re anywhere near Las Vegas or need to get away from snow and ice, World of Concrete is the only show in town next week as far as we’re concerned. Starting Monday, field personnel, project leaders, supervisors and owners can catch up on their continuing education by participating in the interactive workshops and specialized seminars or hands-on skill-building sessions. These industry leaders can earn professional certifications while gaining the knowledge they need to finish each job better, faster and more profitably.
From Tuesday to Thursday, don’t miss the Western Star Trucks Get Tough Challenge in the Gold Log in front of the North Hall. Here you’ll be able to cheer on your favorite contestants as they back into park stations; parallel park to a curb; back along an S-curve, perform a three-point turn, and drive over a ramp made of granular fill. It’s a great opportunity to see these experts demonstrate their skills as they maneuver Class 8 severe duty trucks including concrete mixers and dump trucks.
If you can’t make it, don’t worry. We’ll keep you posted on all the happenings with pictures of your favorite Western Star mixers and dump trucks, and updates from the Western Star folks onsite. You can see all of the happenings on the World of Concrete website.
